Software Engineer II Job Opening In Santiago – Now Hiring Comscore,


Job description

Job Title: Software Engineer II

Location: Santiago, Chile

About This Role:
Builds complex, large-scale client applications and large distributed systems that collect, aggregate,
transform and distribute data for further analysis.

Some roles develop components that run on PCs and collect large volumes of user behavioral data.

More senior roles design, coordinate and implement product development initiatives, provide strategic leadership, and ensure the designs and development of world-class system capability.

May serve as technical consultant to other teams.


What You'll Do:

  • Take responsibility for entire projects; involved in software design; takes full responsibility for assigned project; responsible for meeting set deadlines

  • Handle complex data structures and multi-threading

  • Reverse engineer software to collect user behavioral data
    (some roles)

  • Mentor and train new team members

  • May have limited external client interaction

What You’ll Need:

  • 1-3 years coding experience and working with large data sets

  • Able to collaborate across multiple teams

  • Knowledge of COM, TCP/IP, HTTP protocols; J2ME and/or specific mobile operating systems and ability to reverse engineer code may be required for some roles

  • Experience developing software in multi-processing environments (i.e. Hadoop, GRID, MPI) and/or multi-threaded programming

  • Able to self-motivated and work independently

  • Willingness to learn and become an expert in assigned area

  • Able to seek and provide constructive feedback

  • Workers with pre and postnatal leave will receive a subsidy from the company to complete 100% of their base salary.

  • Workers will be able to finish the working day at 14:00 on their birthday.

    If the birthday lands on a weekend, you can use the benefit on the previous Friday.

  • Comscore Days: 5 working days off during the year (conditions: Only for employees who have taken a period of 10 working days in the calendar year).

  • Paternity Leave: In the event of the birth or adoption of a child, the father will be entitled to paid leave of 15 working days, which he can use at his choice within the first month from the date of birth.

  • Birth or adoption leave of a grandchild: In the event of the birth or adoption of a grandchild, the employee will be entitled to paid leave of 5 working days, which they can use at their choice within the first month from the date of birth.
