As a
Senior Program Manager – Tax Compliance
, you will provide program leadership for Sovos' most critical product line.

With complex dependencies across platforms, applications, and global delivery teams, you'll ensure quarterly planning and execution for Tax Compliance initiatives are disciplined, transparent, and aligned to business outcomes.

Tax Compliance is Sovos' most mission-critical domain, directly influencing ARR, retention, and regulatory credibility.

Working day-to-day with Product and Engineering leadership, you will keep a constant pulse on planning, execution, and risks.

You will also help prepare leadership for C-level updates, act as a guide to help teams avoid common SDLC pitfalls, and partner with the GTM Program Manager to ensure successful launches.

More Specifically, You Will

• Lead the quarterly planning process for Tax Compliance programs, facilitating planning sessions across Product, Engineering, GTM, and Customer Success to align on dependencies, sequencing, and commitments
• Work day-to-day with Product and Engineering leadership to maintain alignment, anticipate issues, and adapt plans in real time while monitoring execution against commitments
• Synthesize program status into executive-ready updates with focus on ARR, NPS, margin, and risk exposure for C-level readiness and communication
• Help teams avoid common software development lifecycle (SDLC) pitfalls and guide them through difficult trade-offs, ensuring alignment to Sovos' strategic priorities
• Partner with the GTM Program Manager to ensure product launches are planned and executed successfully with proper cross-functional engagement
• Coordinate across multi-country engineering and product teams to ensure global delivery while adjusting plans for regional requirements, compliance deadlines, and customer impacts

What We Need From You

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, technical, or project management field
• 5+ years program management experience in complex SaaS environments
• Proven track record leading quarterly planning/PI planning cycles for global product teams
• Experience coordinating across multi-region teams with compliance and regulatory obligations
• Strong grasp of SaaS challenges in compliance-heavy industries
• Expertise with SAFe or equivalent scaled frameworks
• Scrum certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent) strongly preferred
• Excellent facilitation and communication skills across product, engineering, GTM, and executive stakeholders
• Proficiency with Jira, Jira Product Discovery, and program portfolio tools
• Product Management or Scrum Master experience a strong plus
• Due to client contractual obligations, the successful candidate will be asked to clear a background check upon hire
