The Role

Are you a seasoned network and cybersecurity professional with a passion for protecting critical infrastructure while optimizing network performance?

Kyndryl is seeking a Senior Network and Cybersecurity Engineer who will serve as a technical expert in designing, implementing, and securing complex network environments for our Fortune 100 clients.

In this role you will work in a complex, multi-vendor environment, leveraging your deep expertise in both networking and cybersecurity to architect secure, scalable solutions.

You will implement cutting-edge security controls, design robust network architectures, and ensure our clients' infrastructure remains resilient against evolving cyber threats.

This role requires strategic thinking about network security, the ability to implement comprehensive security frameworks, and the foresight to stay ahead of the evolving threat landscape.

You will also have the opportunity to implement new cybersecurity systems and policies to protect customers' data and assets.

You will monitor and review potential threats from various cybersecurity systems and conduct proof-of-concepts (POCs) with new cybersecurity software to evaluate effectiveness and potential integration into the organization's systems.

You will enrich the organization's knowledge toward potential cyber threats and best practices, and provide automation scripts for threat hunting in customer environments using lessons learned from cyber-attacks.

You will have the opportunity to conduct penetration testing and threat and vulnerability assessments of applications, operating systems, and networks, respond to cybersecurity breaches and identify intrusions, research and evaluate cybersecurity threats and perform root cause analysis, and assist in the creation and implementation of security solutions.

You will also work in the area of security innovation, creating and experimenting with ideas that could change the trajectory of cybersecurity.

Required Skills And Experience

• More than 6+ years of experience with network protocols, routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs. Experience with AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.
  
  
• At least 2 years of experience in cybersecurity.
  
  Expertise with IDS/IPS, VPNs, NAC, and network segmentation.
  
  Experience with CyberArk, BeyondTrust, and Fortinet PAM.
  
  
• Experience with SIEM platforms, digital forensics, and incident management.
  
  Knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, and PCI-DSS.
  
  
• Design and implement enterprise network solutions, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless infrastructure.
  
  Configure and optimize network protocols and deploy VPN solutions.
  
  
• Experience with deploying and managing next-generation firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, and Privileged Access Management solutions.
  
  Develop Data Loss Prevention strategies and manage Network Access Control.
  
  
• Security Monitoring: Implement and manage SIEM platforms, conduct penetration testing, and perform digital forensics and incident response activities.
  
  
• Cloud Security: Implement security controls across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.
  
  Ensure compliance with industry standards and conduct security risk assessments.
  
  
• Continuous Improvement: Stay current with emerging threats and technologies, develop security policies, and mentor junior team members.
  
  

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience with automated security tools, DevSecOps practices, and regulatory compliance.
  
  Strong communication skills and project management experience.
  
  
• Certifications: Cisco CCNP, CompTIA Network+ and Security+, AWS Certified Advanced Networking or Azure Network Engineer Associate.
  
  Highly preferred: CISSP, CEH, OSCP, CompTIA Security+, CySA+, or CASP+.
