Purpose:

Conduct Portfolio Management and oversight for the maintenance and growth of a designated portfolio, ensuring sound credit judgment, risk management, and compliance with internal policies and external regulations by Credit and Banking teams.

This role involves promptly and proactively communicating potential alerts and credit issues to stakeholders, ensuring timely intervention and proactive mitigation.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead Credit-led committees (Portfolio Quality and Early Warning), ensuring alignment with regional standards and internal policies, while supporting risk mitigation and regulatory compliance.

  • Oversee credit portfolio health using dashboards and KPIs (e.g., ARA metrics, SLAs, delinquency), escalating issues and providing insights to Credit, GRM, and Senior Management.

  • Maintain strong coordination with Banking, Credit Adjudication, and Head Office to detect early warnings, propose corrective actions, and support client visits for risk assessment.

  • Ensure data quality and consistency in credit processes and support the development of reports and ad hoc queries for GRM and other stakeholders.

  • Centralize and manage credit audit issues, deploy action plans, and ensure adherence to operational, compliance, AML/ATF, and conduct risk frameworks.

  • Identify training needs, coach teams, and drive process enhancements in collaboration with Credit, Banking, and Head Office.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Postgraduate studies are desirable.

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in credit risk management, portfolio management, or commercial banking.

  • Strong understanding of Commercial Banking processes, products and services, including a working knowledge of the systems, due diligence and operating procedures.

  • Advanced English level.

  • Risk assessment and analytical skills and comprehensive understanding of portfolio management, financial statements, and industry trends.

  • Knowledge in risk metrics and risk assessment techniques and understanding of commercial management systems.

  • Understanding of AML, Higher Risk Client and KYC requirements.
