Role and responsibilities 

• Collaborate with industry experts across security, machine learning, digital risk protection, and cyber threat intelligence to develop cutting-edge machine learning solutions for the ZeroFox platform.
• Help define machine learning roadmaps and projects for your team, with a pragmatic balance of higher risk and lower risk efforts.
• Design, develop, and deploy advanced machine learning models and systems for natural language processing and computer vision applications, to enhance the lives of our customers while making the internet a safer place.
• Evaluate and improve the accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of existing ML models.
• Design and conduct statistically rigorous experiments (hypothesis testing, replication, etc.)
• Conduct research and stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in NLP and computer vision techniques to integrate them into our solutions.
• Collaborate with product managers, data analysts, software engineers and non-technical stakeholders to integrate ML models into the ZeroFox platform.
• Analyze and preprocess large, diverse datasets, ensuring the quality and integrity of the data used for model training and evaluation.
• Maintain clear and well-documented code to ensure long-term sustainability and smooth collaboration with other team members.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, and ensure your team’s growth and success.

Requirements

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Motivated, communicative, teamwork-oriented leader who is comfortable working in agile environments and is able to learn and adapt quickly
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, math, physics, or a related field, OR equivalent education or experience
• Machine learning experience, typically a minimum of 5 years
• Team and/or project leadership experience, typically a minimum of 2 years
• Proficiency in PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar machine learning frameworks
• Proficiency in Python
• Strong applied knowledge of statistics and scientific methods
• Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms
• Strong software engineering design and implementation skills involving multiple technology layers (databases, API’s, caching layers, etc.)
• Good communication, collaboration, and presentation skills in English
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Desired Qualifications and Skills

• Strong knowledge of NLP techniques, including but not limited to tokenization, parsing, sentiment analysis, topic modeling, and named entity recognition.
• Strong knowledge of computer vision techniques such as object detection, segmentation, image classification, and OCR.
