LOCATION: Apply Digital is hybrid/remote-friendly.

The preferred candidate should be based in Latin America , preferably working in hours that align to ET (Eastern Timezone) or PT (Pacific Timezone).
Candidates located in Santiago, Chile are able to work out of our Santiago office as remote/hybrid employees.

Candidates located outside of Santiago, Chile will be fully remote employees.
THE ROLE:
We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Frontend Software Engineer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about technology, eager to learn, and possess a strong commitment to creating high-quality applications.

This role requires collaboration with a diverse team to meet business requirements, mentor junior developers, and maintain client relationships.
Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain web applications ensuring high performance, responsiveness, and a seamless user experience.
Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate design concepts into functional, visually appealing web interfaces.
Write clean, efficient, and reusable code that adheres to best practices and coding standards.
Integrate with backend services using APIs to fetch and display data, ensuring smooth client-server interactions.
Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability across a wide variety of devices and browsers.
Conduct code reviews and contribute to improving development processes and standards within the team.
Test and debug applications to ensure high-quality, bug-free software.
Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in frontend development tocontinuously improve skills and the product.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including backend developers, productmanagers, and QA engineers, to deliver high-quality features on time.
Participate in agile development cycles, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups,and retrospectives

Requirements:

Experience in integrating frontend applications with RESTful or GraphQL APIs for datamanagement and content delivery.
Familiarity with state management libraries, such as Redux or Context API, to manage application state effectively.
Experience with version control systems, primarily Git, and collaboration tools likeGitHub or GitLab.
Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jest and React Testing Library to ensurehigh-quality, reliable code.
Knowledge of modern build tools and bundlers, such as Webpack, Babel, or Vite, foroptimizing and compiling frontend code.
Ability to work in an agile development environment, participating in sprints, codereviews, and continuous integration processes.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issuesefficiently.
Good communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, includingdesigners, backend developers, and product managers.
Attention to detail and a passion for delivering polished, user-friendly web applications.

Nice-to-haves

Experience integrating and optimizing Algolia search for high-performance, scalable search functionality in eCommerce platforms.
Hands-on experience with Commerce Layer, implementing API-based integrations for headless eCommerce solutions.
Proficiency in applying Atomic Design principles to create modular, reusable, and scalable UI components.
Experience building user interfaces with Ant Design or Material UI, ensuring consistency and responsiveness.
Expertise in using Tailwind CSS to rapidly build responsive, utility-first layouts and designs.
