Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs, define project requirements, and establish clear objectives
- Analyze and document workflows, business processes, and system interactions to identify key insights
- Recommend and design innovative, data-centric solutions to optimize processes and achieve business goals
- Lead workshops, conduct interviews, and facilitate requirements-gathering sessions with stakeholders
- Develop detailed documentation, including user stories, use cases, and business requirements
- Serve as a primary point of contact between business users and technical teams throughout the project lifecycle
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications for development teams
- Support implementation and testing of solutions to ensure they meet business expectations and objectives
- Manage multiple initiatives in a dynamic environment, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining high-quality standards
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a BI Analyst, preferably with expertise in the insurance industry
- Advanced SQL skills for data analysis, validation, and creating prototype queries, including joins, aggregates, and basic window functions
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, including ETL/ELT processes, Data Lakes, Data Marts, star and snowflake schemas, and the distinction between fact and dimension tables
- Practical experience with BI platforms such as Power BI or Tableau for creating dashboards and visualizations
- Knowledge of data quality principles, including accuracy, completeness, consistency, and timeliness, with experience in validating or testing reports
- Ability to convert business requirements into KPIs, metrics, and reporting logic
- Experience working with data models, including ER diagrams and understanding entity relationships
- Knowledge of master data, reference data, and metadata management practices
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Proven ability to independently propose new ideas, process improvements, and innovative solutions
- Strong stakeholder management, presentation, and communication skills
- English proficiency at a B2 level or above for effective collaboration
