Regional Sales Manager, GEHO - LATAM role at Weir Minerals.

Purpose of Role: Takes care of the sale of complex capital goods for high pressure slurry and paste pumping systems to the mining and mineral processing industries.

Focus on the end-to-end sales cycle, from prospecting to close.

Guides customers in the mining and minerals processing industry to make the right critical business decisions for their future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market Strategy & Development: Analyze the mining and mineral processing market to identify opportunities for GEHO pumping systems.

    Develops and executes regional strategies to expand market presence and introduce new applications.

  • Sales Channel Management: Build and manage effective sales channels by appointing agents, regional colleagues, and project-specific partners.

    Ensure alignment with country-specific and sector-specific needs.

  • Sales Execution & Forecasting: Lead complex, long-term sales processes involving multiple stakeholders.

    Provide accurate sales forecasts to support production, operations, and financial planning.

  • Aftermarket & Customer Support: Support aftermarket sales by collaborating with service teams to drive spare parts and service revenue.

    Maintain strong relationships with customers, consultants, and engineering firms to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.

  • Communication & Opportunity Reporting: Act as the key liaison between the market and internal teams, translating customer needs into actionable quotes and orders.

    Keep the Global Product Manager informed of new opportunities and market trends.

  • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to zero harm behaviors in support of our safety culture.

Qualifications

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications: Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Ideal candidate will have:

  • Expertise in long-term, relationship-based sales and end-to-end sales management across multiple projects.

  • Expertise in the GEHO pump and mining market.

  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English and Spanish.

  • Willingness to travel 50% of the time.
