Your Responsibilities As a Flex Power Project Engineer
You’ll be part of a team that helps power plants run safely and efficiently.
Don’t worry if you’re not an expert yet—we’ll support your growth.
Here’s a look at what your role could include:
Supporting Equipment Health Checks
- Visiting power plants to visually inspect turbines, boilers, and other equipment.
- Helping identify signs of wear or damage and learning how to spot potential issues.
- Reviewing operational data to see if anything looks unusual or outside normal conditions.
- Assisting in setting up monitoring tools that track how equipment performs in real time.
- Learning to analyze vibrations in rotating machines to detect early signs of problems.
- Observing and interpreting non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques used to assess equipment without taking it apart.
Helping Improve Plant Performance
- Creating and tracking performance indicators (KPIs) for turbines and boilers.
- Analyzing how the plant is running and spotting ways to improve efficiency.
- Reviewing maintenance and operations reports to understand how the plant is managed.
- Using simulation tools to test how changes in operations could affect performance.
Contributing to Technical Investigations
- Supporting investigations when equipment is damaged—helping identify what went wrong and why.
- Participating in technical discussions with plant teams, insurers, and regulators.
- Attending inspections and learning how contractors carry out repairs or upgrades.
- Exploring new technologies that could be used to modernize or improve existing systems.
Your profile as a Flex Power Project Engineer
Ready to take your next step in the energy sector?
We’re looking for motivated professionals who are eager to grow and make an impact.
You might be our future colleague if you bring:
- Hands-On Skills : You’ve already built strong capabilities in at least one technical area and are ready to apply them in real-world settings.
- Industry Know-How : You’ve had a taste of the power industry—It is a plus if you’ve worked on maintaining or troubleshooting major power plant equipment.
- Solid Education : You hold a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Energy Engineering.
- Language & Independence : You’re fluent in English and willing to learn Spanish, comfortable working independently (including driving), and open to travel.
- Curiosity for the Sector : You’re genuinely interested in power generation and have a basic understanding of the Chilean national grid or similar energy markets.
