Open Source Enterprise Sales / Alliances - Colombia (Spanish Speaker) role at Canonical.
This role targets a Spanish speaker based in or able to commute to Colombia.

Teams meet 2–4 times per year in person to align on strategy and execution.
Role and responsibilities
- Alliances Sales Directors own a book of business and enable Canonical to work with go-to-market partners, hardware vendors, software vendors, solutions integrators and distributors and channels.
Enable, manage and grow opportunities with a fast-growing channel business, GSI/SI and hardware partners, driving market and revenue growth.
- Report to Alliances leadership and collaborate with direct sales, marketing, product, customer success, finance, legal and support to apply knowledge and practical skills to grow in this area.
- Enterprise Sales Executives own relationships with direct customers, maintain and grow engagements, and craft solutions that help customers be more efficient and achieve results.
Work across either a region or a vertical and bring knowledge of previous customers to the role.
- Support cross-functional teams to identify, support, grow and transact; align and support internal Field teams; deliver on targets with a voice of the partner and/or customer.
- Lead executive interlocks between partners/customers and Canonical leadership.
- Location: Remote opportunities available globally; this link targets a Spanish Speaker based in or able to commute to Colombia.
Knowledge of the Colombian market is mandatory.
Responsibilities
- Develop deep understanding of Linux and cloud software ecosystems and open source selling models.
- Negotiate contracts and commercial terms.
- Build and expand strategic relationships; own the strategy and development of sales engagements.
- Grow customer awareness of open source capabilities on Canonical Ubuntu.
- Deliver on targets and objectives; provide a voice of the partner and/or customer.
- Travel domestically and internationally to drive partnerships in person.
- Align with and support internal field teams to identify, support, grow and transact.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Sales Engineering and Product Management to meet targets and represent the partner/customer perspective.
- Lead executive interlocks with partners and customers and Canonical leadership.
What we are looking for
- Track record of exceeding revenue targets in a technology field.
- Experience with Linux and open source.
- Strong academic background; degree or compelling narrative about an alternative path.
- Technical or related undergraduate degree or equivalent experience; ability to present ideas clearly in English.
- Confident in speaking up, giving feedback, and sharing ideas respectfully.
- Leadership, commitment to skills development and mentorship.
- Passion for technology evidenced by projects and initiatives.
- Strong work ethic and ability to collaborate with motivated colleagues.
- Professional written and spoken English with excellent presentation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability.

- Ability to travel internationally up to two weeks per event and more regularly to meet clients and partners as required.
