Your future role on our team
As an engineer in Process Control and Instrumentation at the Santiago, Chile, office, you'll be responsible for carrying out projects from conceptual design to construction, commissioning and operation for clients in the mining, industrial, energy and decarbonization sectors.
You'll have a high level of autonomy and, over time, will become the technical leader for a small team of project execution professionals.
As a team member, you'll align operational technology (OT) needs with information technology (IT) solutions, manage multiple projects at once and build strong working relationships.
You'll need an analytical mindset, strong problem-solving skills, initiative and a positive attitude and client-focused approach.
You must be rigorous in meeting deadlines, budgets and quality standards.
You should also be able to lead and structure meetings with multidisciplinary and multilevel teams and follow up with clients effectively.

- Work with clients, project managers, engineers, designers and stakeholders to deliver project work that meets both BBA and client standards
- Prepare technical deliverables aligned with client requirements, ensuring high quality and technical compliance
- Carry out site visits, testing and commissioning at client sites, both in Chile and abroad
- Manage project work packages, including preparing budgets and schedules and tracking deliverables
- Prepare proposals, including scope, cost estimates and schedules
- Support business development activities across Chile to help generate and pursue opportunities in your field of expertise

Summary Of Certifications And Job Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, automation or a related field
- Ten or more years of relevant experience, with at least three years at a consulting engineering firm
- Practical experience in instrumentation, control, automation or communication systems
- Hands-on experience with programming languages such as .Net, Python and PLC programming
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Bilingual (English and Spanish), both spoken and written, with the ability to draft technical documents in both languages
- Solid experience in the Chilean mining industry
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work regularly with our Canadian offices on project work
- Willingness to travel to client sites in Chile for work purposes
- Strong communication and soft skills
