The Job

What You’ll Do

You’ll take charge of building accurate, well-documented estimates that help us win jobs and deliver top-tier work:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial electrical projects
  • Perform quantity takeoffs using internal systems and project blueprints
  • Interpret and analyze bid documents, specs, and drawings
  • Use Excel to input takeoff data, calculate estimates, and create reports
  • Collaborate with internal teams to compile and submit complete, on-time bid packages
  • Review material pricing and labor rates to support sound pricing strategies
  • Maintain communication with vendors and subcontractors to gather and verify costs
  • Assist in preparing client-facing proposals using Microsoft Word
  • Occasionally provide support with CAD/AutoCAD files (a plus, not required)

You’re thorough, dependable, and confident working independently in a remote environment.

  • Experience in electrical estimating or an electrical engineering background with an interest in estimating
  • Solid understanding of commercial electrical systems
  • High proficiency in Excel
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word and proposal/document preparation
  • Experience with CAD/AutoCAD is a plus
  • Reliable, honest, and self-motivated—able to follow through with minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
