The Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and systematic individual to help ensure the most robust quality assurance system ever built.
You will work directly with senior members of the Accreditation Team and leading education organizations to manage accreditation compliance paperwork.
You will be prioritized for operationally strong candidates with a proven attention to detail and willingness to learn the details of accreditation regulation.
While you do not need any knowledge of academic accreditation or law in the EU or US, this role requires you to have either a background in law or a PhD.
Key Responsibilities
- Academic Administration: design and file regulatory paperwork related to ongoing compliance requirements for accreditation.
You’ll be provided with support and guidance for appropriate filings, but you will quickly become self-sufficient in your ability to compose long forms.
- Quality Assurance: understand specialized QA requirements for filing long forms and paperwork, and apply attention to detail to the wide-ranging, systematic impact of small details.
- Project Management: manage large and complex projects with multiple workstreams, ensuring completion with minimal support.
Be self-starting and proactive in communication.
- Instructional Design: collaboratively help senior and junior academics reduce complexity in new academic courses and degree designs, with understanding of how degree design affects students and future usability of the program.
- Stakeholder management: interact across cultural barriers with academic leaders, government officials, and others, remaining polite, patient, and goal-focused under challenges.
Requirements
- Graduate-level education
- Either a PhD, experience in law, or 5+ years in academic administration
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Meticulous, systematic, goal-focused; able to work with complex regulatory frameworks
- Patient but persistent in the face of bureaucratic inertia
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to distill complex information and communicate it effectively
- Strong, solution-oriented problem-solving skills
- Readiness to work in a start-up environment; self-starter with initiative to break ambiguous projects into concrete, time-bound steps
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in accreditation, with emphasis on US higher education
- Current experience achieving compliance with accreditation standards
- Prior experience or passion for higher education/edtech
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly
- Passion for Woolf's mission, vision, and values
- Experience working remotely
- Background in law strongly preferred
